Pete is a commercial real estate and finance attorney. In the short time since joining MW Law in 2022, he has already helped in transacting and financing hundreds of millions of dollars of commercial real estate across the country. Pete focuses his practice on assisting clients in the entire transaction from contract to closing for acquisition or disposition of commercial real estate. Pete also assists clients in negotiating and closing the finance of commercial real estate acquisitions and defeasance of their loans. Pete has assisted clients in structuring JV partnerships, TIC agreements, and traditional structures for the purpose of acquiring commercial real estate.

He spent much of his career in the C-level suite and brings more than 17 years of experience in corporate in-house, commercial real estate law, title, commercial financing, and litigation related to commercial real estate and finance. Prior to private practice, Mr. Larsen served as Associate General Counsel for Situs, a premier commercial real estate and loan advisory services company. In this role, he was relied on for complex contract negotiations with the top investment banks, private equity firms, insurance companies, pension funds, and finance law firms across the country and in Europe. Prior to law school, Pete had a 10-year successful business career, which gives him a unique view of business and the role legal plays in assisting businesses to succeed and take calculated risks.

As part of his tenure at Situs, Mr. Larsen managed the legal aspects of Situs’ engagement with the FDIC as a special servicer of commercial real estate loans coming out of bank closures from 2007-2009. Mr. Larsen managed the legal work related to workouts, refinances, foreclosures, litigation, and dispositions for the FDIC in all 50 states. Situs’ work for the FDIC resulted in billions of dollars of resolution for the FDIC. Additionally, Mr. Larsen advised Situs as a rated Servicer and Special Servicer of CMBS and Private Equity financing in the United States and Europe. His background in both business and law is an invaluable asset for the clients he represents and his experience globally allows him to assist his clients in making the right connections when putting a deal together. Mr. Larsen is trilingual in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and has managed legal projects globally in over 85 countries.

Pete received his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston and has a B.S. in Business Administration. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, snow skiing, and traveling with his wife.
