Neil Patel is a commercial real estate and corporate business attorney at MW Law. Neil has a wide range of experience in protecting business owners’ interests including a specialized experience in real estate, hotel law, and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining the firm, Neil represented a diverse group of community banks and businesses where he assisted clients in the commercial lending process and an array of corporate governance matters. He also spent part of his legal career serving as Associate General Counsel at the Texas Hotel and Lodging Association where he represented hoteliers and other tourism industry professionals in day-to-day legal matters, hotel occupancy tax issues, and ownership issues. In addition, he advocated at the Texas State Capitol for legislation and regulations that would promote a strong and growing business climate within Texas.

Neil received his B.A. in Business Marketing from the University of Texas at San Antonio and his Juris Doctor, Cum Laude from Western Michigan University – Thomas M. Cooley Law School. His knowledge and experience allows him to assist clients on all phases of a business life-cycle with an “owners” mind-set to obtain favorable outcomes. In addition, he is experienced in commercial negotiations and transactions, drafting and reviewing purchase and sale agreements.

Outside of the office, Neil enjoys beaches, spending time with family and friends and trying new cuisines.
